Running Through Winter

It took me time
To realize I was more
Than a tragedy-

Running through winter
Meadows, frosted with light-
We have a purpose

In this world.
Even if we lay
Alone tonight,
My love is never dormant-

I will always seek
the cleanse of your morning smile,
I will always reach for you
In the midnight hour...

Intergalactic

smoke rises above
city streetlights-
to find you with me
i connect the stars.

moonlight
like golden drapes
on your hips,

tonight,
i praise
your galaxies
from afar.

On the Port

Your smile takes me
to the port, where
my grandfather's boat
used to anchor, and shine.

His wrinkled, leather skin,
a texture I wont forget-

As he held my tiny hand,
and I saw the world
for the first time.
